My name is pretty simple since my birth name is Danielle, I just shortened it to Dan. I have a concern with my last name though, because it reminds me so much of my past and my identity as a girl that I've considered changing it to my mother's maide…

Well, I got the name Rasikâ because it felt right for me. Being that I am a Gaudiya Vaishnava (Hare Krishna [Hindu]), I wanted a theocentric name that is also a name of God (Krishna) in Sanskrit. I was looking in the Shri Radha Sahasra-nama-stotra…

I'm not sure where I picked up kaitlyn, I just like the name. When I change my name legally, I will use Gabrielle for my middle name, which is the middle name of my best friend. (Even though she says she doesn't like the name!)

Profile Information

How did you hear about us?
Erek
Where do you call home?
Krishnaloka, the Kingdom of God
Who do you admire? And, why?
I admire Srila Prabhupada, founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and propagator of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. His teachings of chanting the Names of God are simple, and sublime. Srila Prabhupada ki jaya!

Please chant:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare

and be happy!

Srila Prabhupada wrote to a disciple who was going to do SRS:

"First of all, you decide whether you are male or female, then be one or the other. Then you may enter our temple anytime you like. But sometimes man, and sometimes woman, that is not proper. Such awkward things cannot be allowed. It will be disturbing to others."

Isaiah 56:3-8

"Neither...let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
For thus saith Jehovah of the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast my covenant:
Unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
...for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

Vedic Culture and Transsexuality

"Sometimes you think yourself a man, sometimes a chaste woman and sometimes a neutral eunuch. This is all because of the body, which is created by the illusory energy. This illusory energy is My potency, and actually both of us -- you and I -- are pure spiritual identities. Now just try to understand this. I am trying to explain our factual position."

First blog entry...

Hare Krishna!

I still am waiting to eventually get approved for hormonal therapy. I pray that I will be able to get approved. I've forgotten the doctor's office and the time that I was supposed to go for the appointment, but I can always call to see when it is.

One person whom I care very deeply about wishes for me to wait a year before I can even begin hormones; although I know he needs it to recuperate with such a change with me, the waiting period seems so long for me; I don't want to wait… Continue
